What
we do
- A field trip to a gallery or art exhibition or an artist's studio.
- An audio-visual production of the artist's work.
- Talking with an artist.
- Learning about different forms of art.
- Understanding art.
You
7 years and above.
How
many of you in the club?
Minimum 20 - Maximum 25.
Meetings
Typically twice a month.
For example
Clay is one of the many materials you can use in art. How do we work
with clay?
During the first 2-3 meetings we'll just get to know clay - how it feels,
how to prepare it and what clay can do.
In the next few meetings we'll make different shapes with clay and look
at the the different forms and textures.
When we've got a pretty good idea of how clay can be used, we'll actually
get down to making clay objects. We'll have a potter look in on us and
give us a few tips. Later on we could visit Potter's Town and watch
potters at work creating things we use every day.
Like this we'll work with and get to know other materials like paper,
wood, straw, water colours, oil paints, brushes, sponges, fingers and
hands.
Other things
A trip to Chitrakala Parishad to see artists at work, chat with them;
meet the students and experience a world where art is the focus.
A carnival where you can work on a theme and give it your own expression
and this will be displayed for everyone to enjoy!
