the Tibetan singing bowl.
Record and play back one's own voice.
Hold a steady note, and then gradually raising pitch
Experimenting in a group using different notes.

Rhythm.
Moving with rhythm.
Introduction to syllables - ta-ka-dhi-mi, etc.
Exploring scales - sa, re, ga
Discovering the octave.
Combining pitch with rhythm syllables.
Listening session followed by discussion.
Session 3:
Exercises on scales and rhythms with instruments.
Play percussion on tables/shakers/ parts of the body/finger
snapping
Voice exercises on scales
Walking in rhythm
Using basic percussion instruments like shakers, maracas.
Practicing scales.
Listening session followed by discussion.
Session 4:
Visit to a music concert.
Session
5:
Introduction to instruments.
Exposure to various wind instruments, stringed instruments
and percussion instruments.
Listening session and discussion .
Session 6:
Understanding simple songs:
lambodhara, doe a deer, nursery rhymes, film songs, pop songs

7 & 8:
Creating songs
All work together to create a song and sing it.
Form smaller groups and select song projects.

Listening to a lec-dem by a classical music group.
Lecture and demonstration by Geetha Navale & group.

Starting first Hippocampus band
